VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Volunteers are the Heart of the Canadian Museum of Flight

At the Canadian Museum of Flight, volunteers are essential to our mission of preserving and celebrating Canada’s aviation heritage. Whether you’re lending a hand with aircraft restoration, guiding visitors through our exhibits, or assisting with educational programs, your contributions help keep history alive. Volunteers bring invaluable skills, passion, and dedication to our team, and we’re always looking for new members to join us.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, and no previous aviation experience is required—although it certainly helps! We especially encourage retired individuals looking for meaningful ways to give back, as well as young people eager to gain new skills and experiences. Our volunteer program provides an opportunity for intergenerational mentorship, where both seasoned experts and emerging talents can collaborate, learn, and grow together. Whether you’re helping preserve aviation history, supporting educational programs, or assisting with day-to-day operations, there’s a place for you at the Museum.

Volunteering at the Museum is not just about what you give—it’s also about what you gain. You’ll become part of a community that shares your enthusiasm, develop new skills, and take part in exciting events and restoration projects. Most of all, you’ll help ensure that future generations can experience and learn from the stories, innovations, and spirit of Canadian aviation.
