The President

Mike Sattler joined the Air Force in 1982 as an aircraft maintainer specializing in electronics.  After thirteen years of working on fighters and transport aircraft, the world of commercial aviation beckoned.  With a commercial license and ratings for land and sea aircraft, Mike felt the world of seaplanes was best suited, and so he pursued that career path.  However, his knowledge as an Avionics maintainer was also in demand.  In 2005 Mike left full time flying to focus on raising his family and Engineering.  However, in 2015 when the opportunity to be the General Manager of the CMF arose, Mike gladly responded, and held that position till 2017 when his contract expired.   In 2022, he was elected to the Board of Directors, becoming President in 2025.  Currently, Mike is also the Chief Pilot for a local air service and has more than 7,000 hrs of flight time in aircraft ranging from gliders to military jets, helicopters and multi engine turbine.  The owner of a 1947 Bellanca, Mike and his Wife are proud parents of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer son.
