David’s first visit to the Canadian Museum of Flight was at the age of three. By age five he was volunteering, and by ten he was spending a month each summer working full-time alongside the museum’s dedicated team.
Learning to flying in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program, he is now an airline pilot with Jazz Aviation (Air Canada Express) and flies the Bombardier CRJ-900 to destinations all across North America.
Over the years, David has played a key role at the museum in aircraft restorations, fundraising, future planning, and tour guiding. He currently serves as the museum’s Chief Training Pilot, leads the Volunteer Saturday initiative, co-manages the website, runs the museum’s social media accounts, and regularly represents the museum at public events.
