COMMITTEE MEMBERS
In an effort to reduce the workload of volunteer and paid staff, more of the operational work of the Museum should be passed on to Committees.
The Volunteer Co-ordination Committee (Mike Gatey) is working well, and it is making a difference. Mike was honoured as Volunteer of the Year for his work on that committee.
Unfortunately, several very important Committees are still vacant. Committees still looking for people are Newsletter, Public Relations, Gift Shop, Special Events and Library.

EXHIBITS AND DISPLAYS
The Museum has provided an information booth/sales booth at several events this year. These displays are a powerful public relations opportunity, but we can only attend a small number of the many offered because we cannot man them. If you are an outgoing person (or want to be), offer your help for displays. Call Mike Gatey.
The most recent displays were at the first annual Airline Expo at Richmond, with the next being the Canada Day celebrations at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. Many more in the works, in planning stages or available. See Coming Events.
PIONEERING AVIATION IN THE WEST” BOOK
Definitely slated for publication this fall by Hancock House. Price advertised at $16.95. Members may order their copy direct from the Museum at $16.00 including postage and GST for a limited time. Be sure to include your cheque.
ARE YOUR DUES DUE?
Each and every member is very important to the Museum. Please renew your membership if it has lapsed or is about to lapse.
Rates have been reduced to include GST. A regular membership is $20.00 per year. Family rate if $30, and a Lifetime is $300 Membership benefits includes free admission to the Museum during open season, a subscription to the Newsletter, and a 10% discount on most items in the gift shop. You also get invitations to attend all Museum affairs.
Members are encouraged to help out in any way they can, and to involve themselves in the operation of the Museum by working on one of the Committees.
If you only want to support the Museum, but are too far away to take advantage of the store discount and free admission, buy a “Friend” membership for $10. You can still vote, and you still get the newsletter.
DON’T LIKE THE WAY THINGS ARE DONE?
Don’t quit. Become a Committee Member and then a Director, and work towards making the Museum a better organization. Committee members attend Director’s meetings and join in all discussions and decision making but cannot vote. It’s YOUR Museum, and is only as effective as its members make it.
